MAY:

* Tue. 5.30 (Noonish): CHARITY SEWING.  The focus will be on designing and sewing twin-size quilt tops from assembled HST units. RSVP is appreciated.

JUNE:

* Sat. 6.3 (11 am – 2 pm): OUT of the BOX Series: IMPROV!   This class focuses on Log Cabin Improv blocks & will go from there 🙂 Class Fee: $60. Skill level: Experienced Sewist who’s ready to try Improv. Instructor: Jane H.

* Wed. 6.7 (10:30 am): SLOW STITCH Handwork Group. A monthly group designed to inspire, share knowledge & companionship, and create beautiful things. Join us as we celebrate and honor handwork! Show & Tell. Projects participants are working on include Liza P. Lucy/Kim McLean’s “Glorious Hexie” BOM, applique, binding, hand quilting, & hand piecing, among others. All skill levels welcome. $5

* Sat. 6.10 (11 am – 3:00 pm): QUILTMAKING for BEGINNERS, Part 2: The Sandwich & The Quilting. $59, includes Class Kit. In this hands-on class, learn what it means to create a quilt sandwich, and the basics of FMQ (Free Motion Quilting) on your domestic sewing machine.

** FMQ section (Noon-3, $49 includes Class Kit) is OPEN to those NOT currently enrolled in QUILTMAKING for BEGINNERS, yet are interested in learning the fundamentals of Free Motion Quilting.

* Tue. 6.13 (Noonish): CHARITY SEWING.  The focus will be on designing and sewing twin-size quilt tops from assembled HST units. RSVP is appreciated.

* Sat. 6.17 (11 am – 2 pm): OUT of the BOX Series: MAKING PARTS.  This 3-hour ongoing monthly class has you exploring & experimenting, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone! Monthly focus will be on making block patterns aka “Parts”. Class Fee: $30/class, payable quarterly. Skill level: Advanced Beginner.  Instructor: Jane H.

* Wed. 6.21: ROW BY ROW “On the Go” Kick-off!

* Tue. 6.27 (Noonish): CHARITY SEWING.  The focus will be on designing and sewing twin-size quilt tops from assembled HST units. RSVP is appreciated.

JULY:

* Sat. 7.8 (11 am – 2 pm): HAWAIIAN APPLIQUE. Learn how to make the Big Island Blossom block, designed by Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill of whole circle studio. This block finishes at approximately 34” x 34” and is a modern interpretation of traditional Hawaiian quilts which Sheri admired while on vacation. Students will learn how to prepare the applique (including folding, cutting and basting) and how to apply the motif using needle-turn applique techniques. Class includes a brief introduction to traditional Hawaiian quilts, best practices, step-by-step instructions and quilting tips. Class Fee: $60 includes tools supply kit. Prep work required. Instructor: Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill, Designer.

* Tue. 7.11 (Noonish): CHARITY SEWING.  The focus will be on designing and sewing twin-size quilt tops from assembled HST units. RSVP is appreciated.

* Sat. 7.15 (11 am – 2 pm): OUT of the BOX Series: MAKING PARTS.  This 3-hour ongoing monthly class has you exploring & experimenting, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone! * Sat. 7.22 (11 am – 2:00 pm): QUILTMAKING for BEGINNERS, Part 3: Finishing Your Quilt. Class Fee TBD, includes Class Kit. In this hands-on class, learn the steps in finishing your quilt, including proper binding techniques, and the importance of the label.

* Tue. 7.25 (Noonish): CHARITY SEWING.  The focus will be on designing and sewing twin-size quilt tops from assembled HST units. RSVP is appreciated.
